The St. Paul Parish Development Fund of the Bulgarian Diocese of Toledo, OCA, proposes to offer financial aid in the areas of parish growth and outreach such as
  • Diocesan Revitalization
  • Development of New Clergy
  • Support Current Clergy 
  • Other possible initiatives
The Goal of this fund is to support and encourage growth in a work that will benefit the diocese as a whole.

Parishes, missions, monastic communities, and priests are invited to apply for funding. Projects should be of benefit to the dioceses and its members and institutions.

GRANT GUIDELINES

The Diocese is primarily interested in projects or initiatives that are of benefit to the Diocese as a whole.
Please do not submit requests for projects that deal with facilities upgrades or improvements.
This grant is limted to parishes, monastic communities and clergy within the Bulgarian Dicoeses of Toledo, OCA.

For Parishes, such projects may include:

  • Evangelistic and/or community awareness projects meant to make an individual community more visible and welcoming.
  • Projects intended to focus the community's vision; to get everybody pulling in the same direction!
  • Engaging speakers, instructors for more specific purposes; this would go beyond the "Parish Retreat" toward a more defined, sustained objective.

Regarding Missions:

The Diocese will supplement the Mission Grant offered by the Orthodox Church in America, which (like the OCA grant) is to be specifically used for salary support.

Clergy Grants may include:

  • Annual Support for seminary students based on...
    • Budget realitites due to other grants and projects.
    • The number of seminary students in a given year.
    • Academic performance.
  • Educational and/or skill enhancement, considered on a case by case basis
